Printer inks difference

For inkjet printer supplies, different industries have different needs. Some require high temperature resistance, some require anti-migration, and some require corrosion resistance. For example, flexible packaging products based on rubber and plastic materials have become one of the main packaging materials and are widely used in the packaging of food, beverages, tobacco and cosmetics. And these plastic materials are mostly PVC, PET and PE, which are the main printing objects in the packaging field of the printer. Packaging materials require that the coding effect is not only clear, but also aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, the requirements for inkjet printer inks will increase.

       Since the printer does not touch the surface of the product during the printing process, the printer can do its job well whether it is a regular or irregular surface or a round or square surface. In addition, plastic films are used in a large amount in the packaging of products. If it is squeezed, the film will be damaged to a certain extent, directly affecting the aesthetic appearance of the package. The use of non-contact printing technology, through the plastic film of cigarette packaging, direct marking, will not damage the film, which requires our invisible ink, UV ink, ultraviolet radiation can be displayed.

       Due to the high speed, high efficiency, and low cost of inkjet printer equipment, the effect of jet printing is closely related to the performance of the ink. Nowadays, consumers demand better ink anti-counterfeiting performance, faster drying speed, and more environmental protection. The requirements for inkjet inks are:

First, security. The anti-counterfeiting function of products is getting more valued by merchants. As the carrier of product identification, ink also assumes this responsibility. A UV visible anti-counterfeit ink that appears on the market has better security. This ink does not display under normal light and can only be seen under UV light. 

Second, quick-drying. The production speed of the production line is continuously increasing and it needs the cooperation of quick-drying ink. For example, in the processing of cigarette packs, the ink is dried immediately after being sprayed onto the surface of the product, and is firmly adhered to the surface of the product. It is not imprinted on other locations and the surface of the object is contaminated, and each ink is guaranteed to be sprayed. The printed product's logo is clear, complete and easily identifiable. It does not affect the entire production process and effectively reduces downtime.

Third, environmental protection. The ink and solvent of the printer are highly volatile substances, which will produce more chemical toxic residues and pollute the environment. Especially for food packaging, the environmental protection of ink is more important, and its chemical composition and odor may permeate through the film and packaging into the food and endanger human health. At present, inkjet printer equipment suppliers are all very focused on the development of Eco-friendly inks.
